Damilola is an energy professional with a PhD in Energy Systems from the University of Edinburgh (United Kingdom) and a BSc in Electrical Electronics Engineering from Olabisi Onabanjo University (Nigeria).
During his PhD research he developed a weather-sensitive electricity demand model capable of estimating peak demand and generating time-series demand for each state in Nigeria, as well as a risk assessment and cost benefit impact analysis of on-grid integration with renewables in Nigeria.
Prior to joining EMRC, he worked in a variety of roles for Citibank Nigeria for four years, culminating in Liquidity and Investment Manager, managing a balance sheet of over $600 million in local currency and $2 billion in foreign currency.
He is currently playing an important role in developing EMRC’s suite of analytical tools and models, notably for distribution network investment and expansion planning.
