Project: Consultancy
The Nigerian and German governments scoped out a roadmap to solve the challenges bedevilling the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI). The road map was broken down into 3 phases with the long-term objective of unlocking 25GW of operational capacity by 2025. It is projected that this initiative would significantly improve the economy of Nigeria with more homes and businesses having access to stable and reliable power supply across the country.
Siemens AG was commissioned to execute the project. It is a German company with a world-class track record in EPC and supply contracts and has also been involved in critical segments of NESI. Thus, it is familiar with the Nigerian terrain and very well-placed to adapt to its peculiarities.
Energy Markets & Rates Consultants (EMRC) was contracted to provide advisory services and support in the execution of the task.
